GDay Chair Project – G’Day GALA.h
Artists, architects, photographers and designers were invited, by G’Day Chair designer Brian Sayer, to make a creative response to the graphic form of the chair, for AIDS benefit auctions held in Sydney in 1988 and 1989.
The G’Day Chair interventions were auctioned by Sothebys, to raise funds for the AIDS Trust of Australia. Sally Gray’s intervention was a laser-etched, conversational inscription:
