A Course in Looking

A Course in Looking

In 2016 Sally inaugurated her program ‘A Course in Looking’, a peer-to-peer learning concept in which multi-disciplinary perspectives are brought to bear on a close examination of one item of material culture. The first iteration – in collaboration with Roger Leong, senior curator at the Centre for Fashion at the Powerhouse Museum, Sydney and conservators, curators, fashion scholars and journalists – examined one cocktail dress: ‘Moulin à Vent’, wool / silk, designed by Christian Dior, made by the House of Dior, Paris, France, 1949 MAAS 2010/3/1
