THE RECOLLECTION ROOM: MARY MACKILLOP SCHOOLHOUSE

THE RECOLLECTION ROOM: MARY MACKILLOP SCHOOLHOUSE

In 1999, the Convocation of the Sisters of St Joseph in Sydney invited Sally Gray to develop an interpretive concept for the schoolhouse Sister (now Saint) Mary MacKillop had built in North Sydney in 1900. With co-curator John Murphy Sally worked with architects Freeman Ryan Design on the realisation of a site-specific installation – The Recollection Room.
