Adult Educator, East London 1980-1982

Adult Educator, East London 1980-1982

From 1980 to 1982, Sally taught English as a Second Language to adult immigrants in London. She coordinated a program in the Spitalfields and Whitechapel areas of East London for women – mainly from Bangladesh, Somalia and the Sudan. The aim was to reduce isolation, develop language skills and introduce the possibility of work and career development. Most women brought their under-school-age children to the classroom.
